Everything is a module: a course, a development program or onboarding
The module is the core building block that sets Oriento apart. A single video or survey can be a module, and so can a year-long leadership program.
Within one module you can give different people different tasks. In an onboarding program, while the employee completes courses, the manager opens access requests, the buddy handles the first-day welcome and the personnel officer collects documents.
Unlock content by start date, choose sequential or free progress, and make tasks that don’t apply to everyone skippable.
Everyone in their own role, on the same platform
When managers log in, they see their team’s full course and competency status and complete their own tasks, such as 180-degree review surveys, from the same screen.
Buddies, HR, personnel, IT and administrative staff complete their actions from their own screens. Instructors manage their own modules, take attendance and pull reports. One person can be both a manager and a buddy and switch roles with one click.

Common questions about Oriento
Are there limits on users, content or storage?
No. Oriento has no limits on adding users, adding content or storage space.
Where is our data stored?
Oriento is delivered as cloud-based SaaS; servers are in the Amazon Web Services Frankfurt region.
Does it integrate with our current HR system?
Yes. With open APIs you can import user, group and role data from your HR platform and pull Oriento data into your own systems. LDAP integration is ready, and you can also bulk upload users via Excel.
Can we use our existing SCORM courses?
Yes, you can upload your SCORM 1.2 packages directly. During upload you also see a preliminary assessment of the package’s load speed.
Can we manage group companies from one platform?
Yes. With the branch structure, holdings and group companies are managed as a whole; centrally built courses are pushed to companies with one click, and modules can be copied between companies.
Do our users need a course to use the platform?
No. The interfaces are clean and intuitive, so users can start using the platform from their first login.
What AI infrastructure does it use?
Oriento uses OpenAI’s ChatGPT models as its AI infrastructure. Your organization’s chatbot runs in a closed loop and answers only on topics you’ve taught it; you can also turn the chatbot off entirely.
