From Aristotle to Darwin, many thinkers found their ideas while walking. Science supports this too: a short walk can significantly increase creative ideas. Learn what walking does in the brain, which tasks it works for and how to use it as an idea walk, a walking meeting or a daily habit.
Course objective: Turn walking into a work tool used deliberately and regularly to generate creative ideas and think together.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Explain the effect of walking on creative thinking using research findings.
- Distinguish divergent and convergent tasks and decide which to do while walking and which to do at your desk.
- Plan an idea walk and a walking meeting and make walking a regular part of your day.
The course consists of 7 animated chapters, 5 interactive exercises and a 10-question assessment. Exercises between chapters reinforce what you learn through real business situations.
