Instead of pushing motivation from the outside, learn to create an environment where it can grow on its own: separate basic needs from motivators, nurture autonomy, competence and belonging, add meaning to work, give recognition the right way and get to know each employee.
Course objective: To create, through your everyday management behaviors, an environment where every employee on your team can embrace their work willingly.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Distinguish extrinsic from intrinsic motivation, and hygiene factors from motivators.
- Choose behaviors that nurture the needs for autonomy, competence and belonging.
- Craft recognition statements that include behavior and impact, and learn through one-on-one meetings what motivates each employee.
The course consists of 5 animated chapters, 5 interactive exercises and an 8-question assessment. Exercises at the end of each chapter reinforce what you have learned through real work situations.
