“Being more productive” or “improving customer service” sounds good, but no one can tell what success looks like. This course shows you step by step how to turn well-intentioned but vague goals into trackable goals that everyone understands the same way.
Course objective: Help employees set clear, measurable and realistic goals in their own work and connect these goals with team and organizational priorities.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Make a vague goal specific using the questions “what, who, where.”
Write measurable goals with a baseline and a target value, and distinguish outcome measures from activity measures.
Assess whether a goal is challenging yet achievable in terms of skills, time and support.
Connect your goal with team and organizational priorities and tie it to a deadline with an owner and interim milestones.
Put your goal into action by building an “if–then” plan against obstacles.
The course consists of video chapters, 6 interactive activities, including an exercise in which you build your own real goal step by step, and a 10-question assessment. The course is delivered in English.
