Change is constant; it is hard and emotional. Communicating with people during times of change is challenging too. Learn ten communication habits that help you overcome fear and anxiety, explain change clearly and build trust.
Course objective: To reduce people’s fears and concerns about change by communicating openly and effectively during periods of change, and to make them part of the process.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Share difficult news directly and early, face-to-face whenever possible.
- Present change as part of a bigger plan, clarify everyone’s role, and choose the right spokespeople and channels.
- Engage people in change, including the most difficult ones, through empathy, plain language and leading by example.
The course consists of a short animation that covers the ten communication habits one by one: from prioritizing face-to-face communication to sharing difficult news early, and from showing empathy to doing what you say.
